The founder of Douu Pet Customization has loved dogs for as long as she can remember. Growing up, her biggest dream was simple: to have a dog by her side every day.
She was trained in fine arts, skilled with pencils and brushes, but never imagined she’d one day be sculpting pet portraits.
That turning point came when her own dog fell seriously ill.
It was sudden, and the prognosis was uncertain.
She sat beside her dog every day, overwhelmed by fear—not just of losing him, but of forgetting what he looked like, how he smiled, how he felt.
Out of that fear, she started trying to capture him: through sketches, journal entries, photos, even little clay molds of his face.
Thankfully, her dog recovered.
But she had already fallen in love—with sculpture.
Especially working with plaster, slowly carving a dog’s expression, one cut at a time—it gave her a strange sense of peace.
Then, other pet parents began to reach out.
Some had just lost their pets. Some just wanted to preserve a memory in advance. She treated every request with quiet care—and over time, the messages came:
"Thank you. I cried when I saw it. It looks just like him."
She doesn’t think of herself as doing anything heroic.
To her, it’s simple:
